With thirty years’ experience in Sydney commercial law firms, Simon has a breadth of knowledge which has served clients well in a number of areas. Simon has a consistent track record of resolving commercial disputes, both through mediation and through proceedings in the Supreme and Federal Courts. This has included extensive experience in the area of recoveries and insolvency in acting for insolvency practitioners, major creditors and trade credit insurers. Simon has acted for major publishers for over twenty years in advising on all aspects of publication and related trade practices and intellectual property issues. Wherever possible, Simon keeps his clients out of Court and out of trouble by making sure they have the right commercial terms in place and by calling in other expert practitioners when the situation calls for it.

Professional Background
Simon joined Eakin McCaffery Cox as a Partner in 2019. During the preceding twenty years, he had lengthy successful partnership positions at Holman Webb and Cowley Hearne (now Thomson Geer). Prior to that time, Simon was a Senior Associate in the Sydney office of Deacons (now Norton Rose Fulbright).
