EMC Today
Our firm is a medium sized commercially-oriented practice, providing comprehensive legal advice and services to major Australian and international public and private companies and to a range of public, government and semi-government authorities. These include restaurant chains, educational and professional bodies, developers and insurers.
In each department the Partners take responsibility for specialist legal fields. The departments link together quickly to prepare integrated advice for clients.
Our retained consultants offer specialist expertise in legal research and policy advice on proposed legislation, administrative law, banking, finance management, directors' responsibilities, and the complex field of commercial and industrial management.
The firm is client-focussed. Our relationship with our clients is based on knowledge and personal contact, creating an understanding which produces quick responses and practical legal advice. Emphasis is placed on understanding the business and operations of individual clients in order to anticipate, identify, respond to and satisfy all their needs, and to assist them in achieving their commercial objectives.
We achieve our commitment to Best Practice by implementing appropriate procedures and processes, designed to interface with and report to our clients and to look after their priorities. This includes surveying our clients' requirements and responding to any areas of concern.
We recognise that our clients seek to be involved in the decision-making where their business considerations are important.
In large transactions, in consultation with the client, a team of practitioners is always available to provide the appropriate level of human resources.
Eakin McCaffery Cox maintains informal associations with law firms both domestically and internationally. Our non-linked "open architecture" policy provides our clients with full flexibility in cross-border transactions.
We embrace Quality Assurance and Total Quality management. Best Practice is not only our commitment at Eakin McCaffery Cox, but a way of life for the firm.
